Congregational Care

"But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people belonging to God, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light.  Once you were not a people, but now you are the people of God; once you had not received mercy, but now you have received mercy."
1 Peter 2:9-10

As members together in the body of Christ, we are all part of the "royal priesthood", ministers together to the world and to one another.  It is a joy to bear one another's burdens, offer encouragement, practical support, and prayer to those in need.  KUMC is developing an intentional approach to congregational care.  Our Stephen Ministry and Vine & Branch Prayer Ministry are important components in the structure we are building.  Ultimately, our desire is to meet the needs of all of those connected to our church, as commanded by Christ.  We encourage you to get involved with these important ministries and the caring and dedicated people working in them.
